The Natural Capital
Investment Fund (NCIF) is a certified Community Development Financial
Institution (CDFI).
Our mission is to
provide debt and equity financing to small and emerging natural resource-based
businesses that will advance sustainable economic development throughout
NCIF financial
products provide critical, timely capital that supports business expansion,
creates employment opportunities, and develops the rural tax base. NCIF also
provides targeted technical assistance to build the non-financial capacity of
our clients.
NCIF is an active
partner in our clients' businesses and wants you to succeed. In support of this
goal, we offer current and prospective customers targeted business and technical
assistance. We deliver technical assistance directly by our staff, by
contracting with outside experts, and by partnering with local resource
providers.
Types of development
services that we provide include training in topics such as marketing, specialty
food and forest product manufacturing, accounting systems, internet marketing,
legal issues, preparing pro forma financial statements, and writing business
