Later Alligator
Later (Alligator) has been restored to resemble the original Julius Lohse Saloon that it once housed in 1880 and whose original signage remains today on the north exterior facade. Later Alligator (Susan Haddad) was the recipient of an award presented by the Wheeling Historical Association for "Outstanding Adaptive Reuse of a Commercial Building" and was also included in a short film documentary titled, "Reinventing West Virginia." Later Alligator is a one-of-a-kind restaurant in many ways. The renovation made the exterior as well as the interior a treat to visit. Later Alligator specializes in crepes...both savory and sweet. We also offer made-from-scratch soups, salads and sandwiches. Next to the best food ever, our collection of vintage Wheeling Steel products is the largest of its kin
